Jessica Simpson seems to have moved on from ex Tony Romo… but that doesn’t mean the tabloids have.

Simpson “nearly fainted” when she found out the Dallas Cowboys quarterback’s new girlfriend, TV reporter Candice Crawford, was wearing what appeared to be a diamond band, a “friend” tells In Touch magazine.

Crawford’s ring “really got the best of Jess,” reports the tab, with the “friend” explaining, “She doesn’t know what it means… Jessica is bracing herself for the day [Romo and Crawford] get engaged.” And the most laughable part? In Touch doesn’t even seem to know whether it’s an engagement ring.

So did Simpson really go to pieces when she (may) have seen what (may) have been an engagement ring on the finger of someone whose relationship with Romo isn’t exactly clear?

Gossip Cop seriously doubts it. A source close to Simpson, who is casually seeing Billy Corgan, told us she “respects Tony but has moved on,” and that she’s “in a good place and very happy.”
