Ciara SLAMS Us Weekly For Its Alleged “Exclusive” Post-Split Interview: It’s A “Lie”
Ciara says she never spoke to Us Weekly in the wake of her apparent split from Future, despite the outlet posting a story on Wednesday with the headline, “Exclusive: Ciara Talks About Motherhood and Life After Future Split: I’m Focused, ‘Very Happy.'”
As Gossip Cop reported earlier than day, multiple outlets confirmed that the singer recently broke up with Future, her fiancé of nearly year with whom she has a 3-month old child, after the rapper allegedly cheated on her.
Us Weekly then reported that Ciara spoke with the magazine the day before the news broke, quoting her — at length — as saying she’s “happy” in her life, and thrilled with motherhood.
But Ciara angrily claimed on Twitter shortly after that such a conversation didn’t take place.
“@usweekly I did not do this interview with you! This is a lie, and tasteless!” she wrote.
The music star went on, “Must you be that thirsty to create a story?! Unbelievable!”
Ciara, however, did not refute the breakup and cheating claims.
Gossip Cop has reached out to Us Weekly for comment.
Ciara later tweeted, “Be CLEAR @usweekly. I interviewed with your Beauty Editor about Degree & Mtv HOS. U manipulated my words & took the interview for sensation… As I Said, Thirsty!!”
In response, Us Weekly posted the audio of its interview to show proof that they did indeed converse with her.
