Ciara Suing Future For $15 Million For Slandering Her Parenting Skills
Ciara is suing Future for $15 million for defamation because of a radio interview he gave and a series of tweets he sent that claimed she was an unfit mother to their nearly two-year-old son. In addition to monetary damages, the singer wants her ex-fiance’s tweets deleted, and for him to be prevented from speaking publicly about her and their baby.
As Gossip Cop reported, during a July 2015 interview on Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club,” Future accused Ciara of having her boyfriend, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, push baby Future in a stroller for publicity purposes. The rapper then insisted that she “leave my son out of all publicity stunts.” And last month, Future went on a Twitter rant that Gossip Cop covered in which he called Ciara a “b*tch” and alleged she had “control problems,” adding, “I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture… the f***ery for 15k a month.”
Future and Ciara have been engaged in a custody battle for sometime now, but in her slander and libel lawsuit, the singer says she is more than cooperative in letting her ex spend time with their son. Ciara notes that since December 2014, Future has had nearly 20 visitations with their child, with some of those visits spanning several days. Gossip Cop will continue to cover Ciara’s defamation lawsuit against Future, and report on whatever new developments arise.
