Christopher ‘America’s Got Talent’ Audition Video: Watch Village People Puppets
An “America’s Got Talent” contestant named Christopher put a new twist on the Village People on Tuesday’s show. Watch below!
Before taking the stage for his audition, the 54-year-old explained to the camera that he’s “always wanted to be part of a music group… but I never really found anyone to be in a group with.” So, he came up with what he thinks is a “million dollar act.” And that entailed first perplexing the judges when he came out on stage barely dressed but wearing Native American garb.
He then left the stage, only to return with a rod of life-size puppets. And together, they performed the Village People’s classic, “YMCA.” Simon Cowell, who can be hard to amuse when it comes to the sillier acts, is seen cracking a smile and laughing. Howie Mandel, meanwhile, was in hysterics.
Mandel and Mel B even gave a standing ovation. The comedian told Christopher, “I loved it. It was fantastic.” And the Spice Girls singer said, “I was just kind of a bit gobsmacked… But you’re one of those acts that I would literally want to see again and again.”
Heidi Klum joked, “It is amazing. Five guys on the stage and you were so in sync!” And Simon Cowell gushed, “I though that was fantastic, Christopher!” Check out the video below!
