Christina Hendricks Upset By “Full-Figured” Interview Questions (VIDEO)

Christina Hendricks is getting tired of answering questions about her body, and things got awkward during a recent interview in Australia.

The “Mad Men” actress’ sit-down with Sydney Sun-Herald fashion editor Kate Waterhouse went awry after Waterhouse noted, “You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What is the most inspiring story you can remember where you’ve inspired someone?”

Hendricks gives an uncomfortable laugh and says, “I don’t know… I’m sorry,” motioning that she’d like a do-over.

But when they resume, Waterhouse, not taking the hint, immediately asks Hendricks a second time about having a “full figure.”

The exasperated actress throws up her hands, saying, “I mean, you just said it again!”

We then hear Waterhouse getting more explicit instructions not to ask Hendricks about her body.

Off-camera, Hendricks is reported to have remarked, ”I think calling me full-figured is just rude.”

Regardless, it makes for some very awkward viewing.

I’m not sure why she got so upset…she is always showing off her body like she’s proud and if I’m not mistaken I believe she has called herself full figured. She needs to just relax and be proud of her body, she looks great.

That interviewer was clueless but well intentioned. It’s kind of rude to discuss someone’s weight with them.

I’m an Australian and sadly I think this interview is just another illustration of the poor quality of commercial media and journalism in our country. Kate Waterhouse’s questions are utterly inane nevermind the tedious emphasis on Hendricks’ weight. On that subject, how intrusive it must be for this woman to find herself asked about her body shape by complete strangers at every opportunity. Such an irrelevant line of questioning anyway when you consider how many more women in the western world share Hendricks’ dress size than Waterhouse’s. Pick up your game, Aussie media.

If she’s bothered about being overweight then diet and excercise are the answer.

She got upset because the interviewer basically called her fat. She’s curvy, she has the typical hourglass figure (which is what she is known for), she is not fuller-figured. She might have a few extra pounds, but that isn’t bothering her. Her shape is defined and she seems to happy about it. As someone with a very similar body to Christina’s, I think I would be pissed too if someone called me fuller-figured. I’m not. I have a clearly defined waist. Fuller-figured means rounded all over. Large hips, breast, and little or no waist definition… not hourglass.

Honestly it’s not like she said “Your such an inspiration to other fat women”. Christina Hendricks needs to look in the mirror she is full figured. If that word worries her so much then she should lose some weight. I’m Australian and full figured myself and I see nothing wrong with the question that was asked, it wasn’t asked in a rude or malicious way, she was simply saying that she inspires women of all shapes and sizes. Christina Hendricks needs to toughen up!

She has nothing to be embarrassed about, but her body is slightly more curvy than the average woman, making her more fuller figured. The producer is actually heard saying “she gets asked that all the time” maybe that’s because it’s relevant in a world where people put too much importance on being thin!

Meant well, I’m sure, but it WAS a borderline question, just a peg off from asking, “Do you have any advice for other fat, big busted broads like yourself?” I can see where it would get tiresome to have people asking something like that after a while. Why would she even HAVE advice for other “full figured women”? That’s like asking someone “do you have any advice for other blonde, flat chested women?” or “do you have any advice for other women with big noses and unibrows?” Sorry, just didn’t see the need for the interviewer to even go there. Fine, she has curves and big breasts. So do a lot of celebrities.

I think she took “full figured” to mean overweight… which probably was what the interviewer meant. I don’t think she’s even plus sized though… she’s just normal sized with ridiculously huge boobs that make her look larger than she really is.

“You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What is the most inspiring story you can remember where you’ve inspired someone?” This is such a stupid question :))) Poor quality journalism, indeed.:))

The interview is pathetic, like most of interviews of this kind. Discussing sb’s weight in front of cameras is not a nice thing. Still, Hendrics often flashes her breasts in all these dresses, so why is she surprised. She is a very attractive woman, but seriously, I would have a breast reduction surgery if I were her, even for healthy reasons.

She’s more than her “full-figure” and body. She has a mind and lots of other things to talk about. The little bag of bones interviewing her was a snit.
