Christina Aguilera is NOT marrying fiance Matthew Rutler on December 31, despite a tabloid report claiming the singer is tying the knot in a $1 million New Year’s Eve blowout wedding. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this rumor, which began in Life & Style.

According to the tabloid’s source, Aguilera and Rutler “want to have a New Year’s Eve ceremony so they can start 2015 as husband and wife. All in, she will spend close to $1 million on the wedding!” Life & Style explains that while the couple doesn’t plan to have many guests at their “intimate” affair, money is no object when it comes to luxury.

Even though there will only be 50 guests in the magazine’s fantasy, Aguilera is paying to “put them up at top hotels and wine and dine them.” Life & Style says the food and alcohol bill alone will be $500,000. Fancy!

Except there’s NO truth to this report. Aguilera and Rutler are not planning to get married on New Year’s Eve, let alone in a $1 million bash. A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “There’s no wedding.” We look forward to Life & Style seeming to have no memory of this story on January 1.
