Christina Aguilera Wedding Delayed Over Prenup? (EXCLUSIVE)
Christina Aguilera‘s wedding is NOT delayed over a supposed prenuptial agreement battle, despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop exclusively hears that the story has no truth to it.
According to the National Enquirer, Aguilera and fiancé Matthew Rutler “can’t find harmony on the details of a prenup… and it’s thrown a monkey wrench into their wedding plans.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “They almost called off the wedding while they were working through the money issues in May.” Of course, no explanation is given for why the claim is just being reported in October.
Nevertheless, the Enquirer “source” goes on to claim in totally unnatural language, “Now they’re battling over whether Matt will stay connected with Christina’s son with ex-hubby Jordan Bratman, should they ever split.” But the magazine adds that “it’s not just the pre-nup that’s holding them back — it’s also the wedding itself. Matt wants something low-key, while Christina wants a lavish affair.”
“Christina’s sick of all the delays, and Matt’s tired of being backed into a corner,” alleges the outlet’s tipster. “A lot of people think that this battle could mean the end.” And Gossip Cop can only hope this is the end of the supermarket tabloid’s “reporting” on Aguilera.
The Enquirer has a long history of telling tall tales about the singer, including a debunked story in March that falsely claimed Rutler had given her a marriage “ultimatum.” The magazine had said he was demanding Aguilera marry him by summer’s end, and of course summer has now come and gone while they remain happily unmarried. Not surprisingly, the previous false claim isn’t mentioned anywhere in this new report.
In any case, Gossip Cop once again investigated and we’ve exclusively learned the new allegations are just as “false” as the old ones. Aguilera and Rutler are still committed to each other, while the National Enquirer is still committed to anything but the facts.
