Christina Aguilera Performing With Rascal Flatts At ACM Awards – WATCH VIDEO!
Christina Aguilera performed with Rascal Flatts at the 50th anniversary of the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday. Aguilera and Rascal Flatts first sang her song, “Shotgun,” before they began singing the group’s hit “Riot.” It was an emotional performance. See the video below.
Rascal Flatts actually sang during their performance this year. As Gossip Cop reported last year, the group controversially lip-synced their song “Rewind” at the 2014 ACM Awards. After receiving heat for it, the group later explained that its lead singer Gary LeVox had lost his voice before Academy of Country Music Awards. Rascal Flatts stated afterwards, “Instead of canceling our commitment to do the show, we made a last minute decision to lip-sync.” The group added, “We look forward to singing live again in the very near future!”
Aguilera, of course, has crossed over into the country music universe with her guest-starring arc on “Nashville.” While she’s obviously an awards show regular, seeing her on stage for the ACMs at AT&T Stadium in Texas was a new experience. The fans seemed to love it. Check out the video below of Christina Aguilera and Rascal Flatts performing “Shotgun” and “Riot” at the ACM Awards, and tell us what you think.
