Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green to Leave “The Voice,” Usher & Shakira to Replace

Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are leaving “The Voice” at the end of this season, NBC announced on Monday.

Aguilera is taking time off from the show to promote and tour her new album “Lotus,” while Green will focus on starring and executive producing a comedy for NBC loosely based on his real-life relationship with his ex-wife and kids.

Both judges are slated to return to the series after their one-season hiatus, according to the network.

Usher and Shakira will replace Aguilera and Green as mentors on the signing competition, joining Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on the judges’ panel.

    I think it’s great that they can take a hiatus and come back. I think they’ve picked good mentors to fill in for the year although, I’m not sure how the dynamic will be.

    bout time Christina got into another album I’ve missed her so much, glad they will be back after a year though those four have the best chemistry, the voice is beyond amazing

    It’s going to be weird seeing Adam and Blake without them, but it’s great that they’ll come back. I love how they didn’t just join it and now that they have the attention again they leave like most people do, and are coming back after their hiatus. Love both Usher and Shakira so I might still watch it next season.

    Christina is sooo aMaZzZingg!!! I hate the thought of her leaving…even if it’s just for one season!! I believe “SHE” makes that show what it is…& WOW…she’s such a bEaUtIfUl BeAuTiFuL young woman!!
    Cee Lo, on the other hand, just isn’t a very inspiring man, performer, or mentor! Rather…He displays that of a discusting dR0oLiNg Mess of a man!!
    He really does need this year off!!!! If for no Other reason.?.?.?, to get his “LUSTFUL ADDITUDE” under control!! The show, after all, is called “THE VOICE” for a reason!! Come on Cee Lo…DUDE!!, YOU KNOW BETTER!

    As long as it’s only temporary. I love them all, and this season they really seem to have found their “voice” with each other; the chemistry between the four is great. I’ll miss them both.

    Very sorry to read this. The judges have a weird chemistry which makes it all work. This may ruin this program.

    Shakira and Usher are amazing artists! But I lvoed the chemistry Christina & Adam have on the show, also with Blake and Cee Lo… it’s going to be itneresting to see how the chemistry goes with shakira and usher..

    I’m happy Blake and Adam are sticking around and I think it will be a nice change. What I would like to see when Christina comes back is for her to cover up a little bit more. She is a great performer but does she not realize many young girls adore her? She’s giving them the idea that it’s ok to have your boobs hanging out… not classy ladies.

    Aw c’mon, Patty, don’t be mean, lol. Ceelo is a gifted song writer with a shiny and humorous personality which makes the show more interesting. Is it a crime to worship us? lol.

    as much as I hated how christina let go of people like jesse and deborah, I’m gonna miss her. glad to hear that it’s ONLY a hiatus. AND CEE LO! I love him the most because he actually have and eye for talent. if it wasn’t for him, cody and nick probably wouldn’t even made it into the show which would be a SHAME. damn. I’m actually excited to see Shakira, however. wanna see what she has up her sleeves. and Usher. I hope he does good for the show.

    Really?? Cee Lo’s “lust” is mainly for comedic purposes. Any sensible person can clearly see he is a highly intellectual man and a hell of a mentor.

    Works. I understand that why Cee Lo and Christina need the time away, but am very happy to hear they will be returning. They will be greatly missed. Glad to see Blake and Adam will still be there and will anxiously await the return of Cee Lo and Christina so I can have my favoritest judges of all time all back together again!!!! Love them all, they totally make this show work!

    Am I thinly one who thinks Christina and ceLo are leaving because thy have won? I’m just saying seems odd they both haven’t won and they are the only two who are wanting to leave the show………. Blake is extremely busy with touring, writing and performing but he is staying.. I love the chemistry the four of them have together and I don’t think the new dude and chick will have the personality nor the chemistry the old cast had. I look for ratings to go down.
