So you will do a benefit concert cause new york got pounded by a hurrican and I am truely sorry for the people that lost there lives because of it and my sympathy to there familys but how is this any different from a town getting wiped off the map by an F5 Tornado and wha did they get some donations and sorry for the loss same to the victums of katrina what just becase its “New york” there more deserving then any other place

holy batman…there was a benefit concert for those down South regarding the horrible tragedy when it came to the destruction of the tornados..please…just stop…also, it wasn’t just New York that was hit..you are forgetting all those other states…a total of 27 states were affected by Hurricane Sandy, from high winds, to floods, to fires, to heavy snowfalls…and the death rate is STILL climbing

This is just a few. Stars from all over the South were doing benefits just like stars like Springsteen and Bon Jovi from NYC and NJ will do benefits. This doesn’t include the numerous benefits that went on during Katrina. Here’s one big one though: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Stars-Gathered-For-Katrina-Benefit-Concert-7929.shtml Get your facts straight.

Hm… I seem to remember when Hurricane Ike hit my small little town of Galveston.
No one held a benefit for us. No concerts were arranged. FEMA, National Guard, and Red Cross were who helped us. There is STILL damage that has yet to be repaired here, but is anyone bitching to celebrities or the federal government to help? Nope.
My heart goes out to those effected by this superstorm, but the celebrities putting on concerts…well…who cares. I WONT be tuning in, and I highly doubt anyone else from Southeast Texas will.

I can’t wait to see this line up of some of my favorite artists perform for this telethon benefitting those affected by Hurricane Sandy. It will be especially great to see Billy Joel, Jon
Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen perform all in one concert. My DISH coworker told
me this would be on tomorrow, I’ll definitely be watching. I won’t be home when
it airs, so I’m going to record it on my Hopper. When I play back I’ll be able
to start watching on my living room TV and continue watching on my kitchen TV
right where I left off, with no interruption.

are you a little jealous? or just pissed off it didn’t happen for you? i’m sorry that your town was hit by Ike but to say “who cares”, is fucked up when a death toll is still rising…

I said the same thing about the floods of 08 hitting the Mid west and Gossip Cop removed my post. Even Mario doesn’t censor comments. Celebs only flock to help places guaranteed to blast their appearance all over the National News. New Yorker were warned and still didn’t leave so not to bright.
