GREY: New Fifty Shades Book From Christian’s Perspective Announced By E.L. James — See Novel’s Cover Photo!
E.L. James announced on Monday she is releasing a new Fifty Shades of Grey novel from the perspective of Christian Grey. Simply called Grey, the book will be available on June 18. See the book cover at right and below.
“The wait is almost over!” James exclaimed on Facebook. “For the readers who wanted to read Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy from Christian Grey’s POV — on June 18 (Christian Grey’s birthday) the book GREY: Fifty Shades of Grey told by Christian Grey will be released!”
Since the original best-selling novel was from the perspective of Anastasia Steele, James explained that she wanted to give Christian a chance to share his own side of their complicated BDSM romance. “Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past,” James said in a press release. “Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It’s been a great pleasure to return to my happy place-writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at Vintage.”
The film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey dominated the box office when it was released around Valentine’s Day earlier this year. As Gossip Cop previously reported, it was announced in April that the next book-turned-movie in the popular series, Fifty Shades Darker, will be released on February 10, 2017. James’ husband Niall Leonard has signed on to write the sequel. TELL US: Will YOU read Grey?
