Christian Cuevas, Jason Warrior “The Voice” Battle Video: Watch “Hello” Performance!
Christian Cuevas and Jason Warrior sang Adele’s “Hello” for the first “The Voice” Battle of season 11 on Monday, leading to the first steal. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Cuevas turned three chairs during the Blind Auditions with his emotional take on Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You.” Though Blake Shelton and Adam Levine were both options, he chose Alicia Keys to be his coach. Now for the second round of the competition, he had to face off against fellow Team Alicia member, Jason Warrior.
During a mentoring session with Charlie Puth, the two were encouraged to be “tighter” and hold back on vocal runs to get to the powerful vulnerability of the song. Later, it was Miley Cyrus who seemed most excited as the performance was about to begin, yelling out to the guys, “Get it!” Both contestants went on to pour their hearts out on the stage, and Keys went crazy with excitement at the end.
Miley Cyrus praised Cuevas’ “unique” sound and Warrior’s command of the stage. Shelton thought Cuevas met expectations, but got “wrapped up” in Warrior’s delivery. And Levine admitted, “The fact that one of you technically has to be available right now blows my mind.”
Of course, the decision was all in Keys’ hand… and she named Cuevas the winner! That left Warrior available for the steal, and Levine went for it! Check out video of the performance below!
