Chris Rock Attacks Camera After Tea Party Question Ambush (VIDEO)

Chris Rock was ambushed by conservative author and activist Jason Mattera at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and now Mattera has posted video of the incident – in which Rock goes after his camera.

In the clip, Mattera poses as a fan, mentioning Rock’s hometown of Brooklyn and asking the comedian to take a picture, which Rock does.

But he’s really there to challenge controversial statements Rock made in Esquire about the Tea Party.

“When you said the Tea Party was insane and racist…” Mattera begins, leading Rock to walk away quickly.

A few moments later, when Mattera persists, Rock takes a swipe at the video camera held by Mattera’s associate.

    If celeb’s are going to run off at the mouth then they should know they are going to be questioned. If he has strong feelings about the Tea Party then he should have stood his ground and told the guy that he stands by what he said in the interview. Acting out makes him no better then what he is putting down. Next time–Man Up.

    Well really…it looks like Chris was trying to be nice take a picture then walked away. The guy tried to get Chris to answer a question. Chris probably was pissed because the thought the guy was an actual fan, but only tried to make a mockery of him. I don’t have a problem with what Chris did….it is just what the guy gets….
