Chris Pratt Thanks Fans For Jurassic World’s Record-Breaking Opening: “This Is Bigger Than All Of Us”
Chris Pratt is celebrating Jurassic World’s record-breaking box office debut by thanking fans who have supported the film.
As Gossip Cop reported, estimates have Jurassic World pulling in nearly $200 million through Sunday, its first weekend in theaters. While analysts had predicted the film would do blockbuster business, the current numbers are surpassing expectations. The movie, the fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise and the first sequel since 2001, will go down as the biggest June opening ever.
And no one is prouder than Pratt, who leads the new cast. The actor took to Facebook late Friday to post a message of gratitude. “On behalf of everyone involved in the making of #JurassicWorld, and believe me there are thousands of us, I want to say thank you,” he began. Pratt continued, “It feels so wonderful to hear the overwhelmingly positive response. We are incredibly blessed and overcome with joy at the outcome of the movie and couldn’t be more appreciative for the amazing support you’ve shown so far.”
The TV and movie star added, “This is bigger than all of us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!” He also included a link to a box office report about the opening. Pratt is reportedly signed on for additional films, and with these figures, another movie seems like a sure thing.
Pratt’s post comes a few days after Gossip Cop busted a false tabloid story that wrongly claimed his ego had grown out of control. What do you think of Pratt thanking fans?
