WATCH: Chris Pratt Sings Song About Himself In Saturday Night Live Monologue
Chris Pratt opened the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” by saying how “pumped” he was to host the show and singing a song that he wrote about himself.
“This is ‘SNL’s’ 40th anniversary,” he said. “I have always felt such a connection to this show. A lot of that is because when I dropped out of college and moved to Hawaii, I literally lived in a van down by the river.”
The actor then played guitar as he sang about past hosts, including his wife Anna Faris, who was sitting in the audience. Pratt crooned about how she hosted “SNL” twice and that they had “sex and a baby popped out,”noting it was a “really sexy birth. ”
There were also lyrics about how he’s gone back and forth between being skinny and fat. “Probably going to die if I don’t stop that,” he sang about his weight fluctuations. Pratt messed up the song a bit, but it was still amusing.
The comedic actor is having a huge year, having starred in the box office hits, The Lego Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy. Pratt also scored earlier in the week on NBC as a guest on “The Tonight Show,” during which he played a hilarious game of “Word Sneak” with host Jimmy Fallon.
