Chris Noth Still Not Engaged, Perez Hilton Still Wrong

At 8:00pm, Perez Hilton announced that Chris Noth was engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Tara Wilson.

Three quick points:

1.  The source that Perez cites – OK! magazine – already retracted the claim early today after Gossip Cop proved it wrong.

2.  Proving the engagement rumor wrong was simple. We asked Noth. He told us it was “not true.” He also called it “completely bogus” and “all BS.”

3.  People wonder why we point out Perez’s mistakes so often. This story is a perfect example.

So who are we to believe here: Perez Hilton . . . or Chris Noth himself?
