The Jersey War between Snooki and Chris Christie is going strong.

Last September, New Jersey’s governor blocked a $420,000 tax credit for “Jersey Shore” producers, saying the show “does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens.”

Earlier this week, Snooki ranted about Christie on Twitter, declaring that she’d never vote for him.

At a biotechnology industry dinner on Thursday, the governor fired back.

“You see, this further reinforces my concern about these people,” said Christie. “She lives in New York. She can’t vote for me.”

Christie said he didn’t want to hurt Snooki’s feelings, but added, “I tell [Andrew Cuomo, New York's governor] all the time you can have them back.”

“You will not be shocked to know that he has not sent a car yet, for Snooki or JWoww or The Situation,” said the politician.

He also talked about how shows like “Jersey Shore” harm the state’ image.

“For far too long over the last decade, New Jersey was more of a punchline on the late-night talk shows and other places, right?” asked Christie. “You know, ‘The Sopranos,’ Real Housewives of New Jersey.’ God forbid, ‘Jersey Shore.’”

It is one thing to wanna be on tv, it is another when you run out of things to do and you start going after the real things in life. Snooki is nothing more than a wanna be,,go do jersey, go and fall down drunk, but be mature anough to leave the things you obviously are not “into” alone. this is just a game for her and for this man, right or wrong, pretty or ugly, whatever, this is his livelyhood. If you just wanna be a dumbass drunk and sleep with everything go for it,,but leave the real world alone and go wallow in your made up world….nothing against anyone, but c’mon, this is as STUPID as kk going to haiti and pretending she cares, it is all for show and some things in this world should still be held to a higher standard

    I stand with Chris Christie!

  • lexoxo

Chris Christie should be president. he tells it like it is and doesn’t sugar coat anything. he would be an amazing president. CHRISTIE 2016!

  • Danny

I think everyone that watches Jersey Shore or any other show in New Jersey would know that’s not how the citizens actually act. I don’t like the show at all, but I don’t see why it’s such a huge issue.

  • Karenwestpy

regardless what the job, they still worked, ate and slept and paid taxes in Jersey and no matter how you look at it Jersey bought it! Young adults bought out the clubs when they were there. These kids deserve every dime of their tax money that they worked and contributed to regardless its a job and Jersey like NY benefited from it. No matter, every time someone hits the spotlight a big shot knocks them down. I lived my life in Jersey and yes the Jersey Shore Crew has it right that is exactly how Sea Side was back in the day if not worse. Stop trying to look so innocent Jersey your right on top of the trash barrel. Pay back the money!

  • Hmm

I’m sorry, did you say the word work? LOL

  • Hmm

He’s right. You see the stereotypes appearance-wise in Jersey and assume they’re all like these trashy people. The people that go see them at “appearances” (getting paid to go to a club is not working, it’s getting paid) are just there to see the circus.

  • Karenwestpy

Its still a job if someone pays you to perform even if you are a circus. The clubs received money from their patrons and the clubs benefited among all the other businesses such as clothes and shops, the stands on the boardwalk and the food along with the groups shelter. The rentals collected and the beaches we have to pay to get on were crowded. Don’t tell me the group did not bring in revenue! Where ever you work, whatever you do and its legal you get your income tax back would you like it if the governor decided not to pay back your income? If it was not well deserved money than it should have been put to rest before it even began. They lived, they worked, they deserve what every other citizen would get back its called income tax. Pay up Governor!

  • Karenwestpy

One more comment for Hmm I said work its called acting good or bad someone filmed them and paid them and presented it on TV. The people made them, accepted it, watched it, whatever! These kids worked and Jersey benefited from it CASH wise and deserved it cause it is exactly the way the Jersey Shore is and always was and probably will never change.

Chris Christie is the bomb, God I wish he would run for President. Jersey Shore is absolute trash. I have been to New Jersey numerous times it is a nice state, but it really has that East Coast attitude which takes some getting used to.

If he doesn’t lose about half that load of fat he carries around on him, he probably won’t live to see 2016.

Do other shows made in NJ get a tax credit ?

  • Anonymous

I thought Snooki lived in New jersey or was from there.

  • Krissu

Pay them what? If I remember right the whole ‘war’ started when Jersey shore wanted to have a tax cut for shooting their stuff in New jersey. And Chris Christie said no way in hell.

Doesn’t even matter if it is ‘tax cut’ or ‘income tax back’. It is clear that the law is on Chris Christie’s side or else Jersey Shore would have sued Christie and/or the state long time ago. Heaven knows they have the money to do it!!!

  • Anon

Hi Alohajonny… I’m not trying to be sarcastic in any way or start anything on here but I’m from NJ and I often hear about the “east coast attitude” just curious but how are we different from let’s say the West Coast??? Again just curious lol

  • http://www.facebook.com/laquitathodge Laquita T. Hodge

No, she’s actually from New York. Most of them don’t live in New Jersey.

  • Anonymous

    Oh okay. thanks, Laquita. :D

  • jae

Yeah, me too. I was born and raised and lived here my entire life, I would be curious to know what is meant by “East Coast Attitude”. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t find having attitude as being offensive, but what is the difference that needed to be pointed out? Just curious myself.

  • jae

What the hell are you talking about? Pay the money back? A tax credit block is not blocking them from getting their income tax returns for what they made, it is a tax credit block as in not giving the production company the tax break to film their show here. They are not getting that credit, so hopefully, they won’t be making future episodes of Jersey Shore or any spin offs from the Jersey Shore here. Let them go to New York where most of these people hail from and let them act like the baffoons that they relish being on their own home ground an stop trashing our State.

  • Dee

I don’t think you have a clue what your talking about, you clearly are not understanding what is happening. As Jae tried to explain above which you obviously didn’t read, its a TAX CREDIT BLOCK, look it up and understand before you comment so you don’t look ignorant. They are not blocking the cast’s nor the production team from their tax returns, NJ is just not offering them a tax CREDIT like some businesses receive, it has nothing to do with the cast not receiving money they were owned. PLEASE stop commenting when you don’t understand the discussion. Thank you!!
