Chris Brown Rants After Shooting At His VMAs Party: Why Can’t We Just Have Fun?
Chris Brown took to Twitter to rant about “society” after a shooting at a pre-VMAs party he hosted ended in gunfire.
As Gossip Cop reported, three people — including music mogul Suge Knight — were hit when shots rang out at 10ak in West Hollywood early Sunday morning.
Hours later, Brown vented on Twitter, “It’s disappointing that we as a society can’t have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes.”
“Miss me with the bullsh*t!!!” he went on.
Brown had earlier hyped the bash on Instagam, tying it to both the MTV Video Music Awards and the upcoming release of his new album, X — see below.
A rep for the VMAs tells Gossip Cop that the event was not sanctioned by MTV.
Brown’s rep later furnished a statement to Gossip Cop saying, “Chris hosted an event in Los Angeles last night to celebrate the upcoming release of his album X, during which an incident occurred. This incident did not involve Chris; he was merely the host of the event. He has and will continue to cooperate with the investigation.”
He went on to attend the VMAs, where he was a nominee, as scheduled.
