Chris Brown Kept In Jail As Trial Delayed Until Summer
Chris Brown will remain behind bars until at least late June.
Brown’s Washington, D.C. assault trial was slated to begin on Wednesday, but has been postponed until this summer.
As Gossip Cop reported, Brown and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, were accused of attacking a man outside the W Hotel last October.
Hollosy was found guilty of misdemeanor assault on Monday.
After Brown’s case in Washington was delayed until June, Brown’s lawyer asked the Los Angeles judge presiding over his Rihanna beating probation case release the R&B star in the interim.
But the request was denied.
Brown has been behind bars since March, when he was expelled from a court-mandated rehab program and arrested.
It’s expected that he’ll now be flown back to Los Angeles, where he’ll remain in custody until his Washington trial begins in June.
If convicted of assault, Brown could face up to four years in prison for violating his probation.
Gossip Cop will have updates.
