Chris Brown Arrested After Getting Kicked Out of Rehab, Held Without Bail (UPDATED)
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed Brown was taken into custody in Malibu on a warrant “for a probation violation related to his conviction” in his Rihanna domestic abuse case.
Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin signed off on the warrant on Friday morning after finding out that Brown had been thrown out of the rehab “for failure to comply with rules and regulations of the program.”
Described as “cooperative” when he was picked up, the performer is currently being held without bail.
He will go before the judge on Monday afternoon.
Last month Judge Brandlin, who previously revoked Brown’s probation, ordered him to 60 more days of anger management treatment, despite positive progress reports, as his Washington D.C. assault case continued.
It’s unclear what specific offense the singer is now accused of, but it is not believed to be drug-related.
Brown was booted from a previous rehab center last year after throwing a rock at his mother’s car.
Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Brown, and will have updates.
