Chris Brown is NOT engaged.

Rumors flew yesterday that the performer had proposed to girlfriend Karrueche Tran, but the story simply isn’t true.

“LOL… just heard about the engagement rumor. lol. UMMMMM FALSE!” tweeted Brown moments ago. “im way too young for that step!!!”

The original story started – not surprisingly – with MediaTakeOut, which claimed a “world exclusive” and quoted a source as explaining that Brown’s proposal was “over the phone and he doesn’t even have a ring for her yet.”

“But she said yes,” swore the “rock solid snitch.”

Maybe it’s time for MTO to ditch the snitch.
