Chris Brown’s Daughter Royalty NOT Home During Alleged Gun Threat, Despite Report
Chris Brown’s 2-year-old daughter Royalty was NOT present when he allegedly threatened a woman with a gun in his home, despite an inaccurate webloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim.
As Gossip Cop reported, Brown got into a standoff with police on Tuesday after a woman named Baylee Curran called 911 alleging Brown threatened her with a gun. Cops arrived at the singer’s home at around 3 a.m., but he refused to allow them in without a warrant. The authorities didn’t obtain authorization to enter his property until late in the afternoon, at which time Brown spoke with the police, but no arrest has been made.
Meanwhile, HollywoodLife wrongly reported that Brown and Nia Guzman’s young daughter, whom the two fought over during a contentious custody battle, was home at the time of the alleged assault. A source told the webloid, “Royalty was inside the house at the time of the incident. Fortunately, Nia was able to get Royalty back in her custody before police arrived.”
But the timeline of the story doesn’t check out. The same source also later reported that Royalty was picked up from Brown’s home in the morning and taken to school, but seeing as police officers had been outside his residence since 3 a.m., the 2-year-old would have been discovered at the scene by the authorities. Brown’s attorney Mark Garagos has now shot down the HollywoodLies article. Garagos says Royalty was never at Brown’s house during the alleged incident, and calls all claims of Royalty’s presence there at that time simply “untrue.”
