Chloe Grace Moretz Is Against “Squad Goals” Because “It Creates Exclusivity”
Chloe Grace Moretz is against “squad goals.” Though she doesn’t shade any “squad” in particular, she explains her reasoning in a new interview.
Speaking with Nylon, the magazine says Moretz can’t help but “roll her eyes” when the topic of squads is brought up. “I agree with having a good core group of friends, but the issue I have with squads is it creates exclusivity,” she tells the outlet.
Moretz admits that she personally knows what that feels like and never wants anyone else to feel that way, “I was never included in those things when I was a kid,” she says. “I was the weird one that chose to do movies, so now I go out of my way to be nice to people and make them feel included.”
This isn’t the first time Moretz has expressed her distain for the “squad goals’ trend. Just a few weeks ago, she posted a picture on Instagram with a group of her friends with the caption, “That time we tried to take a ‘Squad’ pic. Never again.” As Gossip Cop previously reported, Adele also recently shared mixed feelings about the concept. Tell Gossip Cop what you think about Chloe Grace Moretz’s comments on “squad goals” below.
