WATCH: Chelsea Handler Parodied on SNL With ‘Swedish’ Show “Helga Lately”

Chelsea Handler and her E! show were parodied on “Saturday Night Live,” with a Swedish version of the program called “Helga Lately.”

In the sketch, “Helga Handler” — like the real late-night host — talks (in fake Swedish gibberish) about booze and sex.

Joining Handler on “Helga Lately” are a panelist of Nordic comedians, as well as a Swedish version of her little sidekick “Chuy.”

In the sketch, the talk show host jokes about the Swedish MTV show “Jersey Fjord,” and cuts to a commercial for the “Khlardashians,” which features the three Kardashian sisters with blonde hair.

There’s also an appearance by Swedish football star Eliasson Mannerheim (Eli Manning).

    It could of been a lot funnier. Not SNL best work. The round table wasn’t funny, but the interview kind-of was. That’s about it.

That her show is basically unfunny jokes, and worthless stereotyping, also unfunny and tired – the Swedish, was to make you see, that there’s no wit or comedy there, as you don’t need to focus on anything anyone is actually saying…basically it’s just Chelsea handjob doing site gags, stereotypes, and acting like a bittch,

    This was a combination of a little bit of German, very much of Dutch and… Well, not a lot of Swedish. :-) The only two Swedish expressions I could hear were:
    1. Hej då! (Good bye!)
    2. Hur mår du? (How are you?)

    However, it was really funny. Vodka, sex and herrings are obviously three things people think of when they are going to describe Sweden. And of course – all people in Sweden are blondes. ;-)
