Chelsea Clinton Joins NBC News

Chelsea Clinton has joined NBC News, where she’ll contribute “Making a Difference” stories to “Rock Center with Brian Williams” and “NBC Nightly News.”

The segments profile “everyday people doing extraordinary things” in the United States and around the world.

NBC announced the addition on Monday.

“People who imagine and implement solutions to challenges in their own lives, in their communities, in our country and in our world have always inspired me,” said Clinton in a statement. “I hope telling stories through ‘Making a Difference’ – as in my academic work and non-profit work – will help me to live my grandmother’s adage of ‘Life is not about what happens to you, but about what you do with what happens to you.’”

She said she was “grateful for the opportunity to contribute” to the network’s history of “sharing stories of empowerment.”

“Chelsea is a remarkable woman who will be a great addition to NBC News,” said the division’s president, Steve Capus. “We are proud she will be bringing her considerable, unique talents and dedicated to NBC News.”

    1st, she was at Stanford, where she eventually got a degree in History, Then she went on to study at Cambridge and got a Masters in philosophy, internation relations. Then, on to NY, A Masters in Public Health from Columbia U. and supposedly, she is studying at NYU for her doctorate. Oh, and she worked at some consulting firm in 2003, then the Avenue Capital group in 2006. I thought I had heard she was going to work at a hedge fund, but somehow ended up working for NBC??? REPORTING????? Wow, I wonder what the cost of her education was… yes, she is a smart young woman, but, lets be honest, her IQ did not get her this job……. I wonder if she and her ‘husband’, the guy who quit his job and decided to spend a few months skiing, just a few months after their ‘ROYAL WEDDING’.? Yes, being connected-no worries about the next job-wonder what NBC is shelling out to her???

    Great…someone from the 1 percent group got the job that hundreds of thousands would have died for. Nice move NBC. With Jenna Bush on board as well perhaps those two rich girls can finally make something of themselves. Wow.
