Charlize Theron is taking it all off for her role in Mad Max: Fury Road.

Over the summer, the stunning actress shaved her head and dyed her buzzed hair brown for her part as Furiosa in the latest installment of the apocalyptic franchise, which launched Mel Gibson’s career.

Theron was spotted showing off her new ‘do in Cape Town, South Africa over the weekend, where she had lunch with her mother Gerda and posed for photos with fans.

The Monster star follows a long line of talented actresses who have shed their locks for roles, such as Natalie Portman (V for Vendetta) and Demi Moore (G.I. Jane).
