Charlie Sheen HIV: Sons With Brooke Mueller NOT Positive Or Infected
In a statement to Gossip Cop on Tuesday, Mueller’s rep says, “Brooke has been inundated with calls from friends and family. To put their minds at ease, Brooke can confirm that she and the boys are not HIV positive.” Gossip Cop had first sought comment on Monday, but at the time, the spokesperson declined.
The statement now comes just after Sheen’s “Today” interview with Matt Lauer, during which he revealed he’s been HIV-positive for four years. The actor insisted he did not transmit the disease to anyone else. And his doctor noted that the level in his system is now so low, it is no longer traceable in his blood stream.
Sheen and Mueller wed in 2008. Their twin boys, Bob and Max, were born in 2009 and are now 6 years old. The former couple had a rocky relationship, which included Sheen getting arrested for allegedly assaulting her. Their divorce was finalized in 2011.
Since then, Mueller has struggled on and off with drug addiction, leading Sheen’s other ex-wife, Denise Richards, to take custody of the twins for a time. At various points the trio was at odds with each other, and most recently, Sheen ripped Richards on Father’s Day while praising Mueller. Richards and Sheen have two daughters, and Gossip Cop confirmed on Monday that they, thankfully, are not HIV-positive, either.
