Charlie Sheen Slams Donald Trump Months After Offering To Be Vice President (PIC)
As Gossip Cop reported, Sheen tweeted back in August, “If Trump will hv me I’d be his VP in a heartbeat!” The actor even included that hashtag “#TrumpSheen16.” It doesn’t seem Trump ever acknowledged the offer, and now it appears a joint ticket is definitely off the table.
On Saturday morning, Sheen tweeted a pointed quote from Abraham Lincoln. Sheen’s message read, “Hey Trump, ‘A farce or comedy is best played; a tragedy is best read at home’ Abe Lincoln.” He went on, “America please WAKE UP! #AnyoneButTrump.”
Sheen reneging on his vice presidential running mate idea isn’t a total surprise. In fact, when he made the offer, he had flip-flopped from previously being anti-Trump. Just five weeks prior, the former “Two and a Half Men” star called the GOP frontrunner a “shame pile of idiocy,” noting, “Your words [are] as poignant as a sack of cat farts.”
Presumably, Sheen is now back to feeling that way again. Still no response from Camp Trump, but they probably have bigger things to worry about right now. As does Sheen, who revealed he’s HIV-positive last November. See a screengrab of Sheen’s latest tweet about Trump below.
