It was a nice gesture but, to think she is aware enough to give him a thank you kind of nuts. If she was going to do it she would have done it already. She just saw him as someone else who wants to cover for her.

FYI, every person on the planet goes through a hard time. But the key to recovery is admitting that you’ve got a problem, start making amends and then stick to that path. Lindsay has had so many “get out of jail free” cards (pun intended) that her list of excuses and false remorse grows thin.

He should have just gave the money to some random person. Would be appreciated and helped out big time. Most families don’t even make that a year. Lindsay doesn’t NEED that kind of money given to her. Nice of him to do though.

Message to Charlie-
First of all….you waiting for a thank you?! Why?! Her “thank you” would not have much difference on your life, neither hers. And you will not see your money back, that’s for sure.
Normal person would have say thanks a million time, but you knew she is not normal, so are you finally see that to lend her a money was pointless?! As everybody else pointed out?!
Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate people who helping to others, and specially to those who would not be normally helped . But she needs something else than a money. Money are just sticker to her sinking boat.
And by the way, if you are helping to someone with genuine intention you not going to the tv and telling out loud that you still waiting for the apology. That is like helping someone out in time of need and then telling everyone how desperate that person is. In this case, you actually took her dignity too.
If you believe that she needs a help your should try to help, if you are a good friend, not to hit another nail into her coffin.

People need to give her “time” to get her act together!? Are you frigging serious!? The last 5 years have been gifted to her to get her act together!
