Charlie Sheen: Donald Trump Should Die Next
As Gossip Cop reported, Debbie Reynolds died on Wednesday night, just one day after the death of her daughter Carrie Fisher. Fisher’s death came two days after the passing of George Michael. Now Sheen is praying the President-elect will be next.
In a tweet sent Wednesday night about an hour after the news of Reynolds’ death broke, Sheen wrote, “Dear God; Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Trump next, please!” He also included an emoji of the middle finger. (See screengrab below.)
Incredibly, the tweet has received more than 33,000 “likes.” It has also been shared more than 18,000 times. The replies to the message have been mixed, with many Twitter users now debating the appropriateness, or lack thereof, of Sheen’s message. Perhaps not surprisingly, much of this debate is falling along partisan lines.
Since Sheen did not outwardly threaten Trump’s life, it’s unclear if his tweet will prompt a Secret Service investigation. But it certainly shows the two have come a long way from August 2015, when Sheen actually offered to be Trump’s vice president. The actor changed his tune by February of 2016, urging Americans to “wake up” and see the then-candidate’s campaign as a “farce.”
Then, this past August, Sheen shared a nude painting of Trump, again telling his followers to “wake up.” This, however, is the first time he has publicly wished death upon the incoming president. Sheen seems unfazed by any criticism, though. He currently has the tweet pinned to the top of his feed.
UPDATE: Sheen is now taking issue with coverage of his controversial tweet. See his new message below.
