Charlie Sheen Arrested for Felony Domestic Violence

Late yesterday, police visited the Colorado home where Brooke Mueller is staying, and from where she placed a 911 call earlier in the day, claiming Charlie Sheen attacked her.

No other details are presently available. And a rep for Sheen has said, “It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion.”

Indeed, many questions about Sheen and Mueller’s dramatic day remain unanswered. Gossip Cop will continue to update as the story develops…

UPDATE: 11:12PM

It’s being reported that Charlie Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller was legally drunk when she called the cops on her husband, and even tried to backtrack her story before the bond hearing, but the police are still, for the time being, going to pursue the case.

UPDATE: 10:15PM

Sheen has posted $8,500 bond and been released from jail, according to a police spokeswoman. The actor spoke with a county judge and was advised on the conditions of his release.

Earlier reports had Sheen detained until Monday, when he could appear in court.

“Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen was jailed in Aspen, Colorado today on charges of felony domestic violence following an alleged fight with his wife, Brooke Mueller.

Sheen was arrested on charges of felony second-degree assault, felony menacing, and a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief, the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Department says.

No further details have been released by law enforcement officials.
