Charlie Sheen Wants to Make Peace with Chuck Lorre

Truth rating: 9

Charlie Sheen blasted “Two and a Half Men” creator/executive producer Chuck Lorre in the past as a “charlatan” and “turd” whose “tin can” material he “effortlessly and magically convert[s]… into pure gold.” And that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Among other remarks directed at Lorre a few weeks ago included Sheen calling him a “contaminated little maggot [who] can’t handle my power and can’t handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain.” But with Sheen’s career at a crossroads, the actor had a more conciliatory tone last night at his Radio City Music Hall performance. He said Lorre “doesn’t completely suck,” and even acknowledged that he’s a good writer.

According to Sheen, he was asked to write Lorre an apology – as a step to getting his job back – and he claimed he would. Two days earlier, during his disastrous first performance at the legendary New York venue, Sheen told the audience, “Of course I want my job back,” and suggested, “Let’s get Chuck Lorre at Radio City and let’s fix ‘Two and a Half Men.'”

As far as Gossip Cop has heard, however, there’s virtually no chance of Sheen returning to his hit series. What do you think of Sheen’s turnaround?
