Charlie Sheen Does First TV Interview

Charlie Sheen, who has ranted day after day on radio shows and spoken to sites like TMZ and RadarOnline, is now taping his first TV interview to air across ABC.

The hourlong interview will air Tuesday on “20/20,” as well as on “Good Morning America” on Monday and Tuesday. Portions will also be on the network’s website.

Sheen will address his controversial comments, the shutting down of production of “Two and a Half Men,” and his very public feud with Chuck Lorre.

    Damaging, Irresponsible, Myopic: The news and popular media’s relentless coverage of the Charlie Sheen Omnimedia Extravaganza has been all these things. The question is not what is going on with Sheen’s behavior. The question is what effect is produced by the constant coverage. I am a high-functioning bipolar patient who moderates a forum for the high-functioning mentally ill under a pseudonym due to the persistent stigma surrounding my disorder. The combined mockery and speculation regarding Sheen is doing neither me nor my cohort any favors. The media is furthering the misunderstanding of mental illness and the resulting stigma. Personally, this misrepresentation is causing me to flashback to a time of my own grandiosity, when I was both omnipresent and omnipotent, when the universe happened because I gave permission. With it comes narcissism, self-indulgence, and destruction — it once destroyed my life and the lives of many others. I urge you to look beyond entertainment, ratings, and profit, and see the damage you are doing.

    i admire Charlie sheen not only is he an amazing actor but he doesn’t lie about anything he hasn’t color coated any of his problems and he is willing to answer any question he is asked
    he is an inspiration for all i don’t agree with what he did with the drugs i admire the fact that he doesn’t lie and say he hated it. It is annoying that just because he is in the public eye he is being penalized for this as there are plenty of people who are not famous who do this and never get anything said about it. He has realized what he has done and should be able to forget about that chapter in his life but the public wont allow it which is wrong.
    people are going on about his rants at the end of the day he has as much freedom to express himself as anyone else in the world and he feels like we should all hear about it and why shouldn’t we our friends listen to our crap everyday if he feels we are his friends then who is to say otherwise.
    It annoys me the way people are going about this at least he is an honest man and is willing to stay clean for his kids and family who are we to judge him we don’t know him and haven’t spent any time to get to know him so why doesn’t everyone let the man live his life and leave him alone everyone is making the big deal about it now but soon this will be a past memory for us but he has to live with this forever!!!!!
