Channing Tatum Announces “Magic Mike Live” Las Vegas Show (VIDEOS)
Channing Tatum announced Magic Mike Live is coming to Las Vegas in 2017. Watch the videos below!
On Wednesday, the actor revealed the new Sin City show, inspired by his two hit male stripper movies, in a Facebook Live video. “I got a big announcement. We are going to be doing Magic Mike Live in Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Coming March next year,” Tatum said. He then introduced a slew of dancers that “will work hard” to delight attendees.
“Go start making it cool, and if you build it, they will come,” Tatum told the dancers in the video. The star, a former exotic dancer himself, went on to explain that fans of the movies will help shape what the live show looks like. “We want to change what male entertainment has been for years. [For] 40, 50 years, it has not changed, and we want to make it better. It’s time to revolutionize something that has been very old… we have to do some different stuff, and have some fun in different ways, instead of men just trying to go up there and tell you what you think is sexy,” he said.
Tatum added, “We really want to make something that hasn’t been seen before.” And in a separate video for Cosmopolitan, he amusingly shared how he felt it was unfair that there’s gentlemen clubs but nothing for “gentle ladies.” Magic Mike Live is slated to begin previews in March 2017.
