Channing Tatum to Play Legendary Daredevil Evel Knievel in Upcoming Movie

Channing Tatum‘s stripper days may be behind him, but the Magic Mike star is setting out to prove he’s still a daredevil.
The actor is in talks to star in and produce a movie about Evel Knievel, the infamous 1970s stuntman, his rep confirms to Gossip Cop.
The film would be based on the Stuart Barker book Life of Evel, with Tatum portraying the title character, who wowed the country with his dangerous motorcycle jumps.
Newly-named Fifty Shades of Grey producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti would also serve as producers on Tatum’s flick, according to THR, which first reported the news.
