Chad Kroeger Disses Avril Lavigne’s Ex Deryck Whibley Over Halloween Costume

Avril Lavigne’s new fiancé Chad Kroeger dissed her ex, Deryck Whibley, after Whibley and his girlfriend Ari Cooper decided to dress as Lavigne and Kroeger for Halloween.

The slam happened after Sum 41 rocker Whibley and Cooper reversed genders to play “Lavigne” and “Kroeger” at a party over the weekend (see photo).

The outfits may have been amusing to some, but (the real) Kroeger hit back on Twitter.

Writing on his Nickelback account, Kroger jabbed, “Hey Deryck loved the costumes! we were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes haha!”

Ouch.

Lavigne, who split from Whibley in 2009, has stayed out of the fray.
