“Gossip Girl” Star Chace Crawford Arrested for Pot

Chace Crawford was arrested for possession of marijuana early this morning in Texas.

The “Gossip Girl” star was taken into custody and later released on bond.

Cops busted Crawford and a friend in the parking lot outside Ringo’s Pub in Plano at 12:55 am. Reportedly, there was one unlit joint in their 2003 Nissan.

It’s a misdemeanor offense. The charge is for possession of less than 2 ounces.

The maximum sentence for misdemeanor possession of marijuana is 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Coincidentally, Crawford plays a drug dealer in the upcoming film Twelve, hitting theaters later this year. His character on “Gossip Girl,” Nate Archibald, regularly smoked pot during the show’s first season.

    @lala technically weed is still illegal u kw and Plano is a town n tx cuz I live n tx and yea were strict on sm thing but u gotta if u dnt want people 2 get hurt here

    So if they weren’t smoking the joint, just sitting in the car, why did the cops search the car? Do cops in Texas regularly see two guys sitting in a car and decide to search it for pot? I get the feeling there was more going on here than we’re being told…

    ok u guys are so dumb…. HE BROKE THE LAW!!! NOW HE HAS TO PAY FOR IT!! IF HE DIDNT WANT TO GO TO JAIL THEN HE SHOULDNT HAVE HAD FCCKN POT IN HIS CAR!!! and yes texas the police do follow the law, honey!

    I live in NYS if he were here he would probably have got a ticket for smoking a joint so yes he broke the law but something like 30-40 % of people out there have smoked pot in the past including the last 3 presidents If it were a serious drug like coke(which the last 2 presidents have done btw), herion etc I would say he deserves it but I don’t think people actually get hurt from weed

    OK what is the story here. Was there someone with him & who? What makes it Chace’s weed? Why was the other person not charged too. Who is being protected here? I smell fishy something happining. One site says he was alone & waiting & now Gossip Cop says someone was with him? Where is the real report on this story? Was it really his sister’s car?

    Gossip Cop your good so get some answers? This should be treated just as anyone else would be treated.
