Celine Dion Sings Rolling in the Deep — How Does Version Compare to Adele’s?

Celine Dion recently returned to the stage for the latest leg of her residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where the songstress extraordinaire covered one of the biggest hits of the last couple years — Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.”

Dion had to cut back on performances earlier this year due to a virus affecting her vocal cords.

Now she’s back.

Before launching into her version of the British hit maker’s song, Dion tells the crowd, “I love Adele so much, she’s amazing.”

    Of course it’s not gonna sound as good as Adele, but Celine did really good. She has an amazing voice & did the song justice.

    It’s Adele’s song so of course it won’t sound the same but Celine is incomparable so it’s an honor for Adele I’m sure.

    Celine is a better vocalist than Adele hands down. Id like to see Adele try to cover one of Celine’s songs (The Power of the Dream, To love you more, Beauty and the Beast), shed come up short. People on here are acting like Adele is a better singer, shes good but shes not on Celine’s level. She is not as versatile and doesn’t have Celine’s range or note sustainability.

    It was pretty decent. It’s Celine, afterall. I just don’t really enjoy hearing anyone sing Adele’s songs except Adele.

    Dino, you are totally right!! As for me, I don’t like Celine at all, for any song. She is what I call a screamer, and I really deslike screamers, except for Aretha. This however is the best I have heard Celine ever. No comparison to Adele, but I can finally bear to hear Celine’s voice. Nobody is even close to Adele. She is THE BEST!!!!
