Celebrities are reacting to the news that Erin Moran is dead. The actress, best known for playing Joanie Cunningham on “Happy Days” and then “Joanie Loves Chachi,” died on Saturday in her home in Indiana at the age of 56. The cause of her death has yet to be determined. Now, Hollywood stars are sharing their reactions and remembrances.

Ron Howard, who played Moran’s older brother Richie on “Happy Days,” tweeted, “Such sad sad news. RIP Erin. I’ll always choose to remember you on our show making scenes better, getting laughs and lighting up tv screens.” Co-star Henry Winkler expressed, “OH Erin… now you will finally have the peace you wanted so badly here on earth …Rest In It serenely now.. too soon.” “So incredibly sad to hear about Erin. A wonderful, sweet, caring, talented woman. I can’t really comprehend this right now. Very painful loss,” added Don Most, who played Ralph Malph.

Along with a photo of Moran and broken heart emojis, Dave Navarro wrote, “#RIP #ERINMORAN.” Willie Aames shared, “RIP to my old colleague and childhood friend ERIN MORAN. So Saddened to hear you have passed.” He continued, “I’ve known Erin Moran since childhood doing ‘GunSmoke.’ More recently as a troubled soul. So saddened to hear of her passing.
