It’s Memorial Day, a holiday in which America remembers those who died while serving in the armed forces. Stars are now honoring our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect our country and freedoms. See celebrity tweets below.

President Barack Obama tweeted, “This Memorial Day, I hope you’ll join me in acts of remembrance. The debt we owe our fallen heroes is one we can never truly repay.” Donald Trump said, “Have a great Memorial Day and remember that we will soon MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” And Hillary Clinton expressed, “Our fallen heroes deserve our profound gratitude for giving their lives to protect our freedom, today and every day.”

Dwayne Johnson wrote, “Happy Memorial Day.. enjoy your families. Have some fun and be grateful.” Courteney Cox offered, “Thank you to every veteran who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. And to their families. We are grateful! Happy Memorial Day!” Selma Blair noted, “Memorial Day. Remembering the fallen. And those that serve and continue to serve. Someone’s son or daughter, parent or sibling. Bless them.”

Josh Gad tweeted, “On this #MemorialDay I pay my respects to all of our servicemen & women who have made and continue to make sacrifices 2 protect us. Robert Downey Jr. wished, “Happy Memorial Day! Ryan Seacrest tweeted, “happy #MemorialDay2016. Thank you to all those who fought and sacrificed for our country.” Neil Patrick Harris commented, “Happy Memorial Day. Seems a strange adjective, happy, given the gravity of the occasion. My deep condolences to those who lost a loved one.”

Reese Witherspoon wrote on Twitter, “To all brave souls who risked their lives for our country – today, we honor you. #MemorialDay.” Leah Remini similarly shared, “Our fallen heroes, we salute you & honor you. To their loved ones, we have not forgotten their ultimate sacrifice.” Kelly Rowland tweeted, “Beyond grateful for all who have sacrificed their lives for our country! #MemorialDay2016.” Using the same hashtag, Randy Jackson posted, “Honor and remember those that fought for our freedom. Thanks for your service and all you gave us #memorialday2016.”

“Memorial day 2016 – we pray for peace,” Rosie O’Donnell simply stated. Former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger tweeted, “This Memorial Day, remember the families who’ve sacrificed. While we honor our heroes, let us also honor those who stood with them.” Victoria Justice also wrote, “Thank you to all our soldiers past & present who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. #MemorialDay2016.”

Meanwhile, in a message on her website, Kim Kardashian said, “Happy Memorial Day, guys. I am so thankful for all the men and women in our armed forces, and everything they do for our country.” Via Instagram, Diddy commented, “#THANKYOU to the men and women of our armed forces who fight for our freedom everyday and those who have given their lives in the fight. We salute you!! #HappyMemorialDay.” On Twitter, Justin Timberlake posted, “Today is a day to remember the men and women who make the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. God bless you all! #MemorialDay2016.”

The Backstreet Boys collectively tweeted, “Today we honor and remember the incredible women & men who laid down their lives for our country.” Rob Lowe offered, “To those who serve, those that have served and to the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice: we can never repay you. Thank you.” Alyssa Milano said on Instagram, “To those that courageously gave their lives and to those that are serving today…thank you. #memorialday #honorthem.”

In a series of tweets, Demi Lovato wrote, “The depth of Memorial Day can easily be looked over by the parties and festivities. It’s so important to remember those we lost. Let’s pray not only for their loved ones, but also our veterans we are blessed to have with us today. Thank you to everyone who’s served for our freedom. Today our country celebrates you all.”

John Krasinski advised, “On this day we can all give thanks to the heroic men and women who gave their lives for us…Every other day we can promise to #NeverForget.” And Susan Sarandon said, “Honoring all the men and women who died serving their country.
