Celebrity Feuds March 2017
Some big celebrity feuds went down in March! Check out the list below of just a few of the stars who got into fights with other famous faces this month.
1. John Boyega vs. Samuel L. Jackson: The Pulp Fiction star initiated the feud when he criticized the casting of black British actors in African-American roles earlier this month. Jackson spoke to Hot 97 radio station in New York about the satirical horror film, Get Out, which stars black British actor Daniel Kaluuya. “I know the young brother who’s in the movie, and he’s British. I tend to wonder what that movie would have been with an American brother who really feels that,” Jackson said. Following Jackson’s controversial remarks, Boyega slammed the actor’s comments on social media. “Black brits vs. African American. A stupid ass conflict we don’t have time for,” Boyega wrote.
2. Donald Trump vs. Arnold Schwarzenegger: Following an explosive February, Schwarzenegger claimed the president was “in love” with him during a recent radio interview. When asked on “The Michael Smerconish Program” why he thinks Trump regularly tweets about him, Schwarzenegger said, “I think he’s in love with me.” Later in the month, Schwarzenegger went on to blast Trump over his low approval ratings. In a video he posted to Twitter, the former actor said, “Oh, Donald, the ratings are in, and you got swamped.”
3. Donald Trump vs. Snoop Dogg: The rapper targeted Trump and police brutality in a remix of BadBadNotGood’s track “Lavender.” The video, which takes place in a world inhabited by clowns, features Snoop watching a news conference with President Ronald Klump, who’s calling for the deportation of all dogs. “Klump” is later kidnapped and chained up by the rapper, who points a gun at his head. Shortly after the music video was released, the president angrily claimed Snoop deserved jail time. “Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!” Trump tweeted.
4. “The View” vs. “The Talk”: Whoopi Goldberg seemingly called out the women of “The Talk” when she shaded them for mispronouncing the names of “The View” co-hosts. Both shows were nominated for the 2017 Daytime Emmys, and it was up to the ladies of “The Talk” to reveal the nominations of select categories. Sara Gilbert, however, butchered the pronunciation of Sara Haines, Jedediah Bila, and Sunny Hostin. “Yesterday, the Daytime Emmys nominations were announced. I think they were announced on ‘The Talk,’ and I think a couple of the women weren’t sure of the pronunciation of everyone’s names, so please introduce yourself so people know,” Goldberg said. Gilbert later apologized, blaming the mistake on being “nervous” and only seeing the names “in the moment.”
