(GettyImages)

The third and final 2012 Presidential debate took place on Monday night in Boca Raton, Florida, with President Obama facing off against challenger Gov. Mitt Romney.

The exchange, moderated by Bob Schieffer, elicited a range of responses from celebrities on Twitter — ranging from the serious to the silly.

Check out what Hollywood stars are saying:

Alec Baldwin: Point goes to Mitt that China is a currency manipulator

Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Is Obama moderating this #debate?

Joy Behar: Obama is on the attack like the last debate, throwing Willard’s words back in his face

Shannen Doherty: Blah blah blah…more of the same. Tired old song

Aziz Ansari: Hypothetical question, let’s say Israel calls you up and they say ‘we need all your hummus.’ What’s your move?”#BetterDebateQuestions

Eva Longoria: As foreign policy debate begins let’s say a prayer for all our troops home and abroad! God Bless our soldiers!

Ryan Seacrest: Who do you think took this final debate?

Sarah Silverman: I think we all love teachers #bobschafferforever

Dane Cook: Romney loves talking about what he will do on “day 1.” I bet on day 2 he’s gonna play dance dance revolution

Rob Lowe: Good Lord can the moderator shut up???

Bill Maher: Shorter version of Romney: Me strong. Obama weak. Hulk smash.

John Legend: obama’s making it very hard for romney to disagree with him without sounding like a hawk. romney is basically saying ditto all night.

Kathy Griffin: I wish they would address the Armenian threat: the Kardashians.

Ann Curry: O:”Governor Romney has proposed wrong and reckless policies.” R: “I will get America working again.”

Watched the debate tonight….what century is Mitt living in? And can he have his own ideas instead of agreeing with Obama? I guess Mitt doesn’t have a clue what to do that is why he agreed with Obama. Mitt is a puppet and an idiot, his foreign policy ideals are from the early 20th century. Pfff.

Most people deep down know don’t need another 4 years of talk no walk excuses

Oops wait. Let me find a fuck to give what you think. When I made my comment I wasn’t asking for your approval of it.

Chloe … I don’t know where to begin … if you think Mr. Obama is respected around the world and has done a stellar job with the economy, job creation, etc. I have a bridge I’ll sell you. He has been a patent disaster and if you think the country is safe rolling the dice and going for four more years of this devastation you go ahead and vote for the Obama ticket but mark my words: you will regret having done son by 2016 if not before. We have 23 million out of work, unemployment over 8% for 43 months, a 16 TRILLION dollar deficit and growing, etc. This is not the mark of a leader; this is the mark of someone treating the US Treasury and our tax dollars as though it’s monopoly money. I, and many others like me, are sick and tired of what’s going on in Washington and come hell or high water, we’re voting for someone who seems to have a clue about creating jobs and getting things back on track for those in this country who are suffering horribly everyday because that’s what this is really about. This isn’t high school and we’re not voting for prom king. We’re voting for the very survival of this nation. If you can’t look beyond your petty popularity contest or your prejudice about Mitt Romney’s approach to fixing this debacle we find ourselves in, then there is no hope for you or those like you.

I always find comments like that amusing. “I didn’t ask for you approval” I don’t recall needing you to ask me anything in order to post. Sorry Matt but people don’t need to be first asked in order to give one.

J F … I have lived abroad and everyone I have ever talked to (in numerous countries) loves Obama. If you don’t believe me maybe this will convince you:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20008687
Other countries love Obama and are much more willing to work with us because of his foreign popularity. That partnership would vanish if he wasn’t re-elected. Most of my foreign friends think Americans are dumb as rocks that we can’t see how much Obama is liked overseas. They also don’t understand how this race is so close right now. They think Obama should be killing Romney. And most of the foreign people I know know more about American politics than about 95% of the Americans I know.
Next, the situation Bush 2 got us into was one of the biggest economic and unemployment crises since the Great Depression and not something anyone could have fixed in 4 years. Plus, I have read numerous reports from economic experts that say the debt was going to reach about that amount regardless of Obama’s policies and actions. The unemployment rate is the lowest it has been in 4 years so something Obama is doing is working. Also, I don’t think most people realize this but federal agencies have a lag time of about 2-3 years with regards to their monetary choices and in seeing any results of any new policies. So the first 2 years of Obama’s term were residual from Bush 2 and the last 2 years were results from Obama’s term. The last 2 years have shown us the end of the recession and millions of new jobs.

  • Matt

Empty and Chloe are actually right.weither you like president Obama or not it is a fact that since us come into office other countries are working better with us. Maybe is cause they see a change cause of his race idk. But it is true. I have actual people I know in over 7 countries especially in Denmark and holland and all they talk about is how NYC they like and admire him. They even say how they wish they could vote and wished that he was over their countries.

  • Tyler

Actually they do. If you weren’t addressed what was the point in your ignorant comment. Go learn what free speech is. If you don’t like what someone said then go make your own comment but to comment on what someone else says and no expect an attack then you are DUMB
