Once again, who really gives a crap about what celebrities have to say about this? It’s a tragedy and every person that hears about it should think that it’s a tragedy. Singling out the thoughts of celebrities is just shallow in my opinion. Maybe we should stick to the gossip.

Sorry but I really feel strongly about this.

  • Alex

then if you really don’t care why did you come on this site read the article and comment about it?

  • Mike

Here we go with guns again. We have enough laws on the books now. A 20 yr old can not buy a handgun in CT. These celebs need to shut up and focus on the horrible happening and not voice their damn views. Lets pray for the kids and adults, along with the families, of all involved. noe

  • guest1

What a terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to all the families and sweet little kids. Sad day.

  • Megan

Count on GayJ to say something stupid. Why is his comment even listed?

  • Emma1986

My heart breaks for the parents and those affected by this senseless act of violence. We never think something like this could happen to us in CT especially in Newtown which is such a nice town. There is so much evil in this world, prayers to those lost in Newtown and those poor children stabbed in China. Takes a sick sick person to harm children, this world is worse by the minute.

  • Claire

Haven’t moved from my couch today….can’t. RIP.

  • Claire

I agree Regina1180. There is not celebrity here, just sadness. Peace.

  • Jen

The last time I checked, celebrities are also citizens with rights to express an opinion. This blog reports celebrity news or whatever it is called. This is their job. They have just as many rights as people who come here and express their opinions. Personally, I don’t read all of what they say, which is my right. If this was the front page of CNN, and if celebrity opinion was there, then I would really complain, but it is not. This is where it belongs.

  • David Klein

Who gives a crap what the “celebrities” think about this. I didn’t come here to read the article. I wanted to comment because this is the first new post at the top of the page. Not the actual news article. Take this garbage down.

  • Regina1180

    You just don’t get it.

  • Regina1180

Everybody is entitled to their opinions. That’s the great thing about this country. But why an entire story has to be dedicated to what famous people think about a tragedy confuses me. Since its a gossip site, post gossip stories.

Seeing this above a story about Gwyneth Paltrow shoving marshmallows in her mouth is sad.

  • Jen

I am sorry. What exactly don’t I get?

  • CDL CO

Can you go a whole day without posting a story without Kim Kardashian’s reaction to it? Let alone 3 Kardashians on this post… Kim can’t even get facts straight: “by a father of one of the kids.” Where did she read that, Fox News?

  • CDL CO

Also, a voice of reason: “Ethan Suplee: The rights of those who own and use guns within legal parameters are not worth the lives wasted by those who do not.”

  • MissZee

why show what celebrities think?…to show the rest of us that celebrities aren’t just about themselves…they DO care about others… also, to point the celebrities as human beings

  • Joao

Just what we need Piers Morgan….more anger. That was a twitty tweet.

  • Alyx

I DARE i absolutely DOUBLE DARE one more American to say the USA is the greatest country in the world because you are very sadly mistaken because you sure as hell don’t have breaking news coverage of a whack job shooting up a theater or a mall or a damn elementary school in Canada i am in no way saying Canada is the best because we are far from me im born and raised Canadian and I dislike living here but your not the greatest america how many more of these incidents will it take to puncture your arrogance and the depths of hell is still to good for this coward

  • MissZee

i like to think my country is the greatest in the world despite the violence that is in it. In the US, majority of the coverage being seen around the country and around the world show the bad parts of this country. each country has their problems…our problem at this time is people obtaining guns who are unstable. there will be a solution, the question is when. and just because a shooting hasn’t taken place in your country doesn’t mean it won’t happen. every country sooner or later goes through a tragic event like we just did.

  • Martina

    Hm……only in America…….!

  • BearlyImportant

My hearts go out to those affected by this tragedy.

  • Lilyx0x

only in America… that’s all you could think of?!? How about the victims of this HORRIBLE tragedy, blaming the whole US for one psychotic man? That’s America’s fault?!? I don’t get it. It’s a sad news and the only thing you’re thinking about is blaming America. No country is perfect.

  • Martina

No, but at that moment, it remained me a black hole. To sit and cry for innocent victims,,….for what?! Are we helping them any way?! In few weeks it may probably happen again. That’s the reason behind my comment. Don’t you see there is something seriously wrong with society where kids are killed in school regularly?!

  • DontNeedAUsername

So because they are famous they can’t voice their views? Aren’t you a hypocrite

  • Guest

And that right there shows how stupid you are

  • DontNeedAUsername

    Amen.

  • DontNeedAUsername

This IS a celeb gossip site

  • Mario is a Putz

Is Piers Morgan even a citizen ? Why is he only getting political. Oklahoma, last time I checked it was illegal to own/make a bomb. 911 , No guns used there either. My point is they will always find a way because they don’t care about the law.

This guy was obviously off his rocker. Education on how to spot these guys is the real answer. I’m sure there were signs and he could have recieed the help he needed

  • D. Martin

Maybe you don’t get it. Celebrities are people too. They can be just as shocked and heartbroken as anyone else about this tragedy. Just because they’re celebrities doesn’t mean they can’t be affected by this like the rest of us.

  • Lilyx0x

obviously i see the wrong of it… but only in America, seriously? just because it’s news worldwide doesn’t mean that it is only happening in America. and you sound so sure about that few weeks, maybe a few weeks but it could be in another country.

  • Regina1180

I get that and I totally respect that, but I don’t agree with a story/post LISTING that shock and heartbreak.

  • http://twitter.com/windwalker22 windwalker22

Who gives a rats ass what these idiots think.

  • MissZee

first of all…children aren’t being killed regularly in school here in the United States. Secondly, people mourn the loss of the innocent victims because they were children…children who knew of no evil…those that survived now have been tainted by the evil at such an age that they will forever wonder if going to school is safe…

  • Claire

    LOL!! I’m with you!

  • Claire

True but the tragedy is about the victims not about what celebs think!

  • Claire

Right. It’s really about the victims; NOT about what the celebs think.

  • j b

Chloe Grace Moretz didn’t actually care when she posted her comment. She is just an attention seeking little terrible actress that is desperate for people to take her seriously as an actress. Despite the fact that she can’t even get an acting gig that isn’t a remake and everything she has been in failed at the theater.

  • DontNeedAUsername

    Your whole comment is invalid.

  • DontNeedAUsername

You say that yet kids are Killed PRACTICALLY EVERY DAY in Syria. Iraq, and Asia. So don’t even go there.

  • Guest

So they’re all idiots? You’re the idiot for saying that.

  • Guest

It don’t matter What laws you make. If people want a gun they will find a way. If people want to steal, kill, do drugs they WILL DO IT. Shit like this starts at home. Through education and the mind set of these people. These are just sick minded people. Some of the other gun men in other shootings even have good parental guidance and STILL do dumb shit. There is no way to cure ignorance like this. You have to fix society. That can’t be done. The best they can do is up security for things. I know when I was in school they would lock the doors at 8:25 am sharp. To get in you have to knock for an administration staff member to get in. We also had police officers, three to be exact and they would be even more at basketball games. I even went to one high school recently and there was FIVE police officers working there daily. This is what needs to happen at schools, theatres, malls, etc. it’s sad you don’t feel safe anymore anywhere you go.

  • DontNeedAUsername

Your comment was the display and perfect example of the upmost stupidity. How stupid can you be?

  • DontNeedAUsername

You do hence why you’re on here

Once AGAIN. This is a CELEBRITY GOSSIP/NEWS SITE.

Maybe we should listen to the celebrities… They have political power to change the way we do business here in the States. Pink wrote a song that still stings every time I hear it. Mr. President. Please Pink write another song so the world can hear our colabortive collective pain we all feel about the babies who still believe in Santa who will now not be home for Chritmas! I am a vet and am a qualified expert shot, yet I do not own a gun. We were NOT given the right to bear arms to kill each other. I don’t own a gun because i am trained to kill. I will kill if i raise my weapon, not a chance I am willing to take. Please someone write a song for the masses – for the US to heal and make chachachanges..

  • CoheedCambria

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected by this tragedy. Sad….so very sad.

  • alyx

I said americans were arrogant not stupied its people like you that have the nerve to call someone stupied for how they feel is whats wrong with america arent you the land of freedom huh freedom of speech??

  • MissZee

you insulted Americans by calling us arrogant…and you can’t handle someone basically calling you stupid? if you are going to insult people, people are going to insult you right back. if you can’t dish it, then don’t say it.

  • specialcheesy

If guns kill people, how does anyone walk out of a gun show??? Guns don’t kill, it is the PERSON behind the gun pulling the trigger. If a criminal wants a gun, they will get one…Look at the guy who killed his wife in WI, he was court ordered to turn over his guns but he used them instead. HE loaded it and then HE pulled the trigger. The gun did not do it all on its own. It is the same here. Why should honest people have to give up their guns which they use for hunting and protecting their families just because CRIMINALS abuse the weapons????

  • http://twitter.com/DrivelLady Laurie B. of U.D.

Please stop posting these type of “celebrities react” Tweets. It makes you seem shameless. And America doesn’t care what they think about what happens in real life. I thought Dan Abrahms was better than that.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1541170729 Mike Chrusciel

i agree with you Alyx . im canadian too. americans are whacked out cowboys thinking its ok to kill people well its not ok to kill people or little kids everyone has the right to live in this world. im sick and tired of watching the breaking news about people getting shot to death and its even more heartbreaking to see kids getting killed over a stupid sick american person. the americans only know how to kill eat burgers like pigs and drink pepsi

  • alyx

Because im not stupied a bitch abslutely but not stupied and americans are arrogant so are rich Canadians again if you read my post i said CANADA IS FAR FROM PERFECT but we dont boost were the greatest country in the world our laws are screwed up but atleast we have some degree of gun control so shit like this dosnt happen know i am honestly not gunna argue with two Americans who cant seem to admit there is something wrong with there country on an article that is absolutely sickening and heart breaking you wanna call me stupied call me stupied but atleast i can admit my country is screwed up

  • Jimmy

Alyx Is not stupid she’s right as citizen’s we are arrogant we talk about our right to bare arms and this is the result of that right scencless distruction and heart break, and when something like this happens we scream there needs to be a change for a couple months, then it goes away till the next time. if we wont give up our right to bare arms then whats do we do have medal detectors in all our schools even for our Grade schools.

  • MissZee

first off…where do you get the word “bitch” from?…no one called you a bitch…someone called you stupid, that’s it. Secondly, I did not call you stupid, so no need to defend myself there. Thirdly, if you read what I wrote, “i like to think my country is the greatest in the world despite the violence that is in it.”…i know my country has its problems, but i still like think my country is the greatest….why? because i can choose to believe that it is

  • MissZee

did i call Alyx stupid? no, i did not. All i said is if Alyx can not handle insults, then do not insult others. if we take away the right to bare arms, the next Civil War could break out…i’m all for tighter laws to get guns, but taking away people’s rights, is something I will not accept. i will defend those i know that have guns….next thing, you’ll know, we’ll ban owning knives…cars are used as deadly weapons…people are crazy enough to use pencils just by stabbing someone…so let’s just ban everything we use in our lives since we think taking guns is the solution…guns or weapons aren’t the problem…it’s people that are the problem.

  • Amy

Ok, enough is enough. It’s spelt stupid, not stupied. You’ve spelt it wrong like six times now. I can’t read your posts and take you seriously when they’re not even spelt correctly.

  • Amy

Ok enough is enough. It’s spelled stupid, not stupied.

  • Amy

Stereotyping all americans like that is pretty ignorant.

  • Maat

Residents of the United States own about 42 percent of all the world’s civilian-owned firearms. The homicide rate by firearm is 200 to 800 percent higher in the US than in other advanced countries such as England, France, Australia, and Japan where firearms are more tightly controlled by law. It’s time to do in the US what has been successfully done in other parts of the world.

  • The_Anticommunist_Columnist

A relative of mine died in the deadliest US school killing of all time: The Bath School Disaster. Some madman dynamited a school out of revenge over his foreclosed farm due in part to the taxes required to pay for the new school. Killed 45 people, mostly children.

    Madmen will always exist.

  • disqus_sgGeFoeLB3

Killing and wars this is when the people should act not fight .killing little kids it is just wrong

  • DEB.

AMEN See they are just like you and me THEY DO CARE

  • MissZee

US has more people in the country than in England, France, Australia and Japan…of course the homicide rate is going to be higher

  • Steph11

right. No guns involved there, either, if I recall correctly.

  • Steph11

Sorry but a right to bare arms means being allowed to wear shirts that show one’s arms

  • Steph11

    And stupied

  • mugwort2

Yes I see that some celebs care. My concern is the thoughts and opinions of celebrities will be considered more important than the rest of us. I agree with what they said, especially gun control and psychiatric care for people with mental illness

  • MissZee

i think GC is just showing us what the celebrities are saying…not implying that celebrities are more important than the rest of us even though the laws (state by state) do value celebrities more

  • DontNeedAUsername

Kim kardashian said what has the world come to…. More like what has the world come to that you’re even relevant in Hollywood

  • DontNeedAUsername

  • DontNeedAUsername

  • DontNeedAUsername

I’m sorry but I would sit and point out every stupid piece of shot comment you said but I don’t have time. My mother always taught me not to waste time on dumbass people. Your comment was so ridiculously ignorant it made my child laugh.

  • Guest

Werid when kids get killed more over seas than in America. And it’s funny you are talking shit about American yet if this happened in your as swipe country you’d be defending yours still. What’s even more fun y is how you are sitting here saying Americans only eat burgers and drink Pepsi when last time i checked I’m yet to see everyone in this country eating and drinking the same damn thing. Some people aren’t even meat eaters and you have the same damn foods in your country. America is and always will be the greatest country. And yet here you are on an AMERICAN based blog taking out the side of your neck. PATHETIC. If you want to talk foolishly, let what you say be valid.

  • Lilyx0x

nice try… US has a bigger population than Japan. do some research.

  • DontNeedAUsername

    My point exactly.

  • DontNeedAUsername

    Exactly

  • Guest

I’m in Japan right now. So…

  • Lilyx0x

what does that have to do with you being in Japan? why don’t you google which country has a bigger population. you’ve got to be kidding me.

before i actually make a statement about “facts” i actually look it up first. you should probably do the same.

  • mugwort

Yes I realize GC is showing us what celebs think. My comment was a general one generally referring to the public at large. That celebrities opinions will be considered more than everyone else. One exception is experts in a relevant field to a topic should be considered more highly than non experts. For example mental health, economics, ecology to cite a few of many examples.

  • mugwort

I am still concerned GC is giving the impression that celeb opinions are better than the rest of us.

  • MissZee

all GC is doing is showing what celebs are saying through their treats..and this is a site for celebs is it not?

  • Fat_mama

LOL you looked them up too so obviously you were curious too.

  • krissy

I live 15 minutes from Newtown, CT.I know people who lost someone, it is devastating and to have the celebrities, even acknowledge the fact that it happened, is refreshing, they may be celebrities but they are human and have feelings. I found it beautiful how certain shows honored the victims, the voice, the x factor, all the late night shows, jimmy kimmel truly choked up.Tomorrow, we are having a benefit in our town,New Fairfield,CT. to raise money, I believe the whole world is affected by this tragedy,as a mom, I cannot comprehend the loss of all those innocent children!!I find it had to be happy this holiday season, It just isn’t fair!! God Bless all the victims and their families and all those touched by this tragedy that never should have happened.

  • MissZee

hate to say it, but its our own fault for allowing celebrities opinions to matter more than our own if that’s the case. we put them on podiums as if they are Gods greatest gifts and you expect them to not believe it? we buy their products, we watch their shows, etc…so, yes, their opinions will be valued more despite their knowledge on mental heath, economics, etc…

at the same time, this IS a celebrity website, so of course their opinions will matter here more

  • DontNeedAUsername

    thank you my point exactly
