Celebrities React: Meryl Streep Golden Globes Speech Ripping Donald Trump
Celebrities are reacting to Meryl Streep’s speech at the Golden Globes during which ripped into President-elect Donald Trump, without mentioning him by name. The actress, who was receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award at Sunday’s ceremony, named several stars who were born abroad, before stating, Hollywood is “crawling with outsiders and foreigners,” and “if you kick them all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.” She then talked about how it “broke [her] heart” when Trump mocked a disabled reporter, and urged the press to hold the President-elect accountable.
