Hollywood is reacting to the death of television icon Larry Hagman.

The “Dallas” and “I Dream of Jeannie” star died from cancer complications on Friday, and many celebrities have taken to Twitter to offer their thoughts.

Larry King: I’m shocked. Larry Hagman was a dear man who had an incredible career. He helped me to stop smoking. He really was a very special person.

    Wow, this is a sad day for us who grew up with major Nelson and went through our twenties with Jr Ewing oil man extraordinaire , no one did it better than Jr. I was really enjoying the new Dallas with him and Bobby and sue Ellen back at south fork raising their kids who are now men and a plot that was actually good. Wonder what they will do next season, cause you definately can’t replace Jr with anyone else, won’t be right. May he rest in peace.

    Major Nelson, J.R. Ewing, both characters played beautiful by Mr. Larry Hagman. He was an exceptional actor, and I was so very glad to see him on the new “DALLAS”. Well J.R., may you rest in eternal peace, and prayers go out to your family and friends.

    RIP, great actor, loved him in Dallas (I Dream of Jeannie was also good) the best bad guy out there. Who can forget (unless you are young) the famous scene of Who Shot JR?

    RIP Mr. Hagman. I remember him most from I Dream of Jeannie. Never missed that show and watched the reruns over and over. A sad day/weekend for so many especially his family and friends. My heart goes out to all of them.
