Celebrities React: Donald Trump Wins Presidential Election
Celebrities are reacting to Donald Trump winning the presidential election. See stars’ reaction tweets below.
As Gossip Cop has reported, Trump declared his candidacy for president more than 500 days ago, despite having no political experience. Vowing to “make America great again,” the business mogul appealed to those who believed America needs to be fixed. He had a large number of Republican opponents, but picked up enough momentum to win most of the primaries.
Trump officially won the GOP nomination this past July, and turned his attention to defeating Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. The “Celebrity Apprentice” host alienated many in Hollywood with his divisive rhetoric, and was frequently accused of being racist and sexist. But much to the surprise of many famous Clinton supporters, Trump has now pulled out an unexpected victory to become the next Commander-in-Chief of the United States.
“This is an embarrassing night for America. We’ve let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We’ve let a bully set our course. I’m devastated,” tweeted Chris Evans. Rose McGowan said, “This is confirmation of EVERYTHING I have been saying. Hatred for women is real. Why? Why do you hate us so?” Referring to third-party votes, Chrissy Teigen posted, “Look what your stein / johnson votes have done.”
Judd Apatow remarked, “So the host of The Apprentice who loves Putin and p*ssy grabbing controls house-senate and the Supreme Court. What could go wrong?” Seth MacFarlane argued, “Some didn’t like Bush. Some didn’t like Obama. But this is different. Forget dislike. Many are genuinely fearful now. This is new.”

Savor it. Good night, America. Bye, 21st century.”
Jesse Tyler Ferguson told fans, “I’m taking tonight to grieve for minorities, women, immigrants, muslims & the LGBTQ community but tomorrow I’m waking up ready to fight.” Mark Ruffalo similarly said, “You know what we do now? We finish building what we started and we FIGHT BACK! Lift your heads up brothers and sisters.” And Connie Britton vowed, “Dear Muslim, Mexican, immigrant, refugee, handicapped, black, gay, female humans beings, & also dear Earth…you are not forgotten. Promise.”
“This is not a dream,” Zach Braff tweeted. Bella Hadid was even shorter, saying, “This is disgusting.” Rashida Jones said, “I want to quit life.” Abigail Breslin begged, “Please tell me this is a joke.” Ansel Elgort posted, “My heart is pounding out of my chest. This has to be a bad dream.”
Kate Walsh expressed, “This is a national disaster. An illiterate, bigoted, misogynistic, racist, rapist has become president. I have no words.” Michelle Rodriguez commented, “Wow I guess the people have spoken, gotta respect that. Strap up, We’re going back in time, get Dolorian ready. Wow, What a world.” Watching Trump’s victory speech, Debra Messing observed, “He’s clapping for himself.” Jane Lynch complained, “Pollsters, you’re fired.”
“WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED. #LOVETRUMPSHATE,” declared Katy Perry. With the balance of the Supreme Court in jeopardy, Albert Brooks prayed, “Dear God Please let Ruth Bader Ginsburg live to be 120. Amen.” Christina Applegate wrote, “I went to sleep early. Woke up to this. To my fellow humans outside of the US. We don’t want this. And we are heartbroken.”

“Choosing to believe Trump voters were sick of the establishment (a feeling we all share to some degree) and valued change above all else,” said James Van Der Beek. Bryan Greenberg stated, “Trump surprised a lot of us tonight. I hope he surprises us all again and does a complete 180 and becomes an inclusive, and competent POTUS.” Looking further ahead, Alec Baldwin played on Trump’s slogan, tweeting, “Theme for 2020: MAKE THE WHITE HOUSE GREAT AGAIN.”
Of course, some famous Trump fans were celebrating. “CONGRATULATIONS PRESIDENT TRUMP! @realDonaldTrump against all odds ..against the establishment and even against most from the GOP,” tweeted Kirstie Alley, adding, “U did it!” While at Trump’s victory party, Stephen Baldwin posted, “God bless America !! & our 45th President of the USA & the new first family.”
