Celebrities React: Donald Trump’s Vice President Is Mike Pence
Donald Trump is expected to name Indiana governor Mike Pence as his pick for vice president on Friday, and now celebrities are reacting to the news. See reactions from some stars below.
As many thought New Jersey governor Chris Christie was gunning for the job, Patton Oswalt tweeted, “Springsteen’s ‘The River’ plays. Chris Christie reaches for the vanilla Oreos. Pauses. Looks in mirror. Punches mirror. Eats Oreos. Weeps.
Damien Fahey cracked of the reported vice presidential candidate, “Mike Pence looks like every man in a Symbicort commercial throwing a frisbee to his dog on the beach.” And Ronan Farrow played off his name to tweet, “Mike Pence, none the richer.”
Orlando Jones joked, “Congrats to Mike Pence on his selection as @realDonaldTrump’s VP. He’s following in the very capable steps of Dan Quayle. #GoHoosiers” “Mike Pence reminds you that ‘Religious Freedom’ means the freedom to believe Jesus hates the same people you hate,” added John Fugelsang.
Surprisingly, Miley Cyrus has yet to comment on the reported choice of Pence. As Gossip Cop reported in March, after Prence signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law, she posted a photo of him on Instagram, along with the caption, “You’re an a**hole @govpenceIN -1 cc: the only place that has more idiots tha[n] Instagram is in politics.”
Pence and Trump are pictured above at a rally on Tuesday. They’ll go to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland next week as running mates. Gossip Cop will update as more celebrities share their thoughts about the reported choice of Pence as the Republican vice presidential candidate. Update: Trump’s announcement of Pence as VP has been postponed in the wake of the Nice terror attack.
