UPDATE: Heartbreakingly, Gossip Cop can confirm Debbie Reynolds died Wednesday following a stroke.
ORIGINAL STORY: Debbie Reynolds, the mother of late actress Carrie Fisher, was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after suffering a possible stroke. Celebrities are now reacting and sending prayers to the 84-year-old actress on Twitter. See stars’ tweets below.
As Gossip Cop reported, EMT’s rushed to the Beverly Hills home of Reynolds’ son, Todd Fisher, after a 911 call was placed. After arriving at the scene, Reynolds was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The incident comes just one day after Reynolds’s daughter, Fisher, died at the age of 60 following a heart attack on a plane from London to Los Angeles.
One celebrity sending well-wishes to Reynolds is William Shatner, who tweeted, “I heard about Debbie Reynolds. Let’s pray that it’s nothing serious.” George Takei wrote, “Wishing Debbie Reynolds health and recovery. My heart goes out to her and her family.” And Mia Farrow expressed, “Sending love and every good thought to @DebbieReynolds1.”
Along with a photo of the two of them on a red carpet, Joely Fisher wished, “God speed mama.” Meanwhile, songwriter Diane Warren tweeted, “Step the f**k away from Debbie Reynolds 2016. Just. Step. The. F**k. Away.” And Lea Thompson offered, “My heart is sad for #debbiereynolds #carriefisher and the rest of her family. 2017 has got to be better. #faith.”
Laura Benanti warned, “LISTEN UP 2016…DON’T F*CK WITH DEBBIE REYNOLDS.” Josh Gad also expressed, “Thoughts and prayers with #DebbieReynolds and the entire family right now. Devastatingly sad.” Gossip Cop, too, is praying for Reynolds’ recovery.
