Celebrities React To Chyna Death
Former WWE star Joanie “Chyna” Laurer was found dead in her Redondo Beach, California apartment on Wednesday night. Many stars are now mourning and reacting to the death of the 45-year-old former wrestler. See celebrity Twitter reactions below.
Chyna’s cause of death has yet to be revealed, but her team confirmed the news with a statement posted on her website and Twitter. “It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero,” read the letter. “Joanie Laurer aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her.”
Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan tweeted, “Devastated over Chyna passing… such a beautiful soul and so kind to my children, rip Joanie love u.” His daughter, Brooke Hogan, similarly expressed, “Not even believing @ChynaJoanLaurer is gone. She’s graduating early. God must have needed an angel.”
Alyssa Milano said, “Chyna. Rest in peace,” while Holly Robinson Peete wrote, “So sad to hear that @ChynaJoanLaurer passed away. She was a really sweet lady.” Along with a photo of herself and Chyna filming “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” Melissa Joan Hart conveyed, “Such sad news to hear about #Chyna passing away today! I have fond memories on the set of #Sabrinatogether. #RIP.”
Kendra Wilkinson noted, “The 1st time I met Chyna I was so drunk that I slipped n grabbed her slammin her to the dance floor. We both laughed thank god.” Crystal Hefner posted a photo of Chyna’s 2000 Playboy cover, along with the caption, “Rest in peace Chyna. So sad.”
Jerry O’Connell tweeted, “RIP 9th Wonder of the World. Here’s hoping WWE inducts you into the HOF.” And Triple H, whom dated Chyna for a number of years, wrote, “Someone who wasn’t afraid to blaze her own trail & create a path for those who would follow.
