Bill Murray, Tina Fey And More Celebrities Read “Top 10 Things I’ve Always Wanted To Say To David Letterman” – WATCH!
Bill Murray, Tina Fey, and more celebrities read the final “Late Show” Top 10 list on David Letterman’s last episode on Wednesday. Watch below!
Called “Top 10 Things I’ve Always Wanted To Say To Dave,” stars emerged on stage one by one to carry out Letterman’s signature feature. Alec Baldwin began with number 10, saying, “Of all the talk shows, yours is the most geographically convenient to my home.” For nine, Barbara Walters asked, “Did you know you wear the same cologne as Muammar Gaddafi?” In the eighth slot, Steve Martin said, “Your extensive plastic surgery was necessary and a mistake.”
For number seven, Jerry Seinfeld said, “I have no idea what I’ll do when you go off the air. You know, I just thought of something — I’ll be fine.” Jim Carrey then remarked for the six slot, “Honestly, Dave, I’ve always found you to be a bit of an over-actor,” before hysterically over-acting himself. And Chris Rock wryly said for fifth, “I’m just glad your show is being given to another white guy.” (Stephen Colbert debuts as the new “Late Show” host in September.)
“Thanks for letting me take part in another hugely disappointing series finale,” Julia Louis-Dreyfus said for number four, a nod to “Seinfeld,” even with her star colleague right there. NFL superstar Peyton Manning told Letterman for third, “Dave, you are to comedy what I am to comedy.” And in the second-to-last spot, Fey said, “Thanks for finally proving men can be funny.”
Murray closed things out with number one, saying, “Dave, I’ll never have the money I owe you.” As Gossip Cop reported, Murray also appeared on Tuesday’s “Late Show” as Letterman’s official last guest. He was the TV personality’s very first guest on “Late Night” back in 1982. Fey also stopped by the “Late Show” earlier this month, memorably stripping and giving Letterman the dress off her back.
